Description

A sweet and cohesive vintage Valentine’s Day treat set dating to the mid-20th century, featuring a red plastic “To My Valentine” candy container, two small red and white nut basket favor cups, and three vintage Valentine cupcake picks. These items reflect how Valentine treats were traditionally exchanged in classrooms and homes during the 1950s–1960s.

The heart-shaped candy container features raised “To My Valentine” lettering with a molded white bow on the front. This design is commonly attributed to mid-century holiday plastic makers such as E. Rosen / Rosbro based on known examples, though the piece itself is unmarked. The container shows age-related wear, including surface scuffs, paint loss on the bow and lettering, and subtle plastic distortion consistent with vintage heat exposure and early plastic manufacturing.

The set includes two petite red plastic nut baskets with heart cutouts and white swing handles. These are small, treat-size baskets originally intended for lightweight candy or nuts. The handle attachment styles differ: one basket has a molded latch that locks into the basket groove, while the other uses a smooth slide-in handle connection. This variation reflects period manufacturing differences rather than damage.

Three short vintage Valentine cupcake picks are also included. Two picks are marked “Made in Hong Kong” on the reverse, while one pink pick is unmarked but matches the others in material, design style, and age. The picks show wear and shortening from original length but remain suitable for cupcakes or small party displays.

A charming and authentic mid-century Valentine grouping that displays well together and captures the look and feel of vintage holiday treat exchanges.
