Description
Bright and fully functional 1950s–1960s Miss Lady Bug tin lithographed wind-up beetle toy, made in Japan. This colorful mechanical insect walks forward and flaps its wings with lively motion — see video for full working action.
This toy closely matches examples attributed to Yonezowa Toys, a leading Japanese tin-toy maker of the era, known for its vibrant postwar designs and precise mechanical movements. However, the piece is not maker-marked, so attribution is based on design similarities.
The vivid red, yellow, and green lithographed pattern remains eye-catching, with only light surface wear from age. The wind-up key operates well, and the mechanism works as intended.
Measures approximately 4” long × 2” wide × 2” tall (wings down).
Marked Japan on the underside.
A charming and increasingly scarce mid-century Japanese wind-up — perfect for collectors or display.

Condition
Preowned vintage condition; paint wear in spots and minor surface scratches from age but retains excellent color and charm. Wind-up works well. Please see photos and video for complete condition details.
