Description

Beautiful mid-century modern cheese and serving tray designed by Ernest Sohn in the 1960s. Crafted of genuine walnut with an inlaid copper enamel tile featuring a raised tree design in orange, yellow, and green tones. The enamel surface is intended for serving or slicing cheese, while the two carved walnut compartments hold crackers or accompaniments.

The copper tile is fixed (not removable). Light surface marks on the enamel from prior use and gentle wear to the walnut finish consistent with age. Displays beautifully with classic MCM style. Stamped on the bottom “Genuine Walnut – Designed by Ernest Sohn.”

Condition

Preowned vintage condition. The fixed enamel tile shows a small surface mark from light use. Walnut wood has minor surface wear consistent with age but maintains a rich tone and smooth finish. Clean overall and displays beautifully.
