Description

Beautifully detailed covered toothpick holder featuring intricate mother-of-pearl floral inlay against a deep, glossy black lacquer finish. Iridescent shell pieces create shifting blue, green and purple tones, complemented by delicate metallic-tone stems, accents and geometric border work.

One of the especially nice details is its fully finished construction. The piece is lacquered throughout, including the inner toothpick cup and interior surfaces beneath the removable cover, rather than leaving the underlying material exposed.

Measuring approximately 3” high × 2” wide, this is a small piece with an impressive amount of decorative detail. Its combination of glossy black lacquer, shimmering mother-of-pearl inlay and completely finished construction makes it a beautiful display piece as well as a functional covered toothpick holder.

Age and country of manufacture are unknown, so no specific antique, vintage or country attribution is being made. Toothpicks shown in photos are for demonstration only and are not included.

Good preowned condition with age/use-related wear. Surface scratches and scuffs are present, along with some wear to the lacquer and decorative details. The mother-of-pearl inlay remains attractive and displays strong iridescent color. No major cracks or breaks observed. Please review all photos closely for the condition and decorative detail
