Beautiful antique Nippon hand painted oval candy or nut dish featuring a serene swan landscape scene with trees and soft sunset tones. The trees and decorative accents are enhanced with raised enamel (moriage) detailing, adding subtle texture and depth to the scene. The central handle is accented with dimensional jeweled enamel work, and the warm earth-tone rim with fine beaded edging gives this piece classic early 1900s elegance.
