About GenFinds

Our Story

GenFinds — short for Generational Finds — is rooted in a love for pieces that carry meaning, history, and a sense of connection. What began as something passed down through my family has grown into a way of sharing those kinds of finds with others.

My grandfather had a deep appreciation for unique and hard-to-find pieces, and weekends often meant time spent at local auctions. What stood out most wasn’t just what he collected, but how much he cared about where each item came from and the story behind it.

When he passed things down to our family, many came with small handwritten tags — notes about who made them, where they were found, or what made them special. That attention to detail and appreciation for history became something that stayed with us.

Today, that same perspective continues across generations — from my grandfather, to my mom, to me, and now to my son. Some pieces come from our own collection, while others are discovered along the way, each chosen for its character, quality, and the feeling that it’s worth passing on.

I’m often drawn to pieces that stand out in a quieter way — whether through craftsmanship, history, or something that simply feels familiar. My son has developed an eye for tapes and CDs, vintage clothing, retro electronics, advertising memorabilia, and toys from the ’80s through early 2000s.

I also keep an eye out for things friends and family are searching for, so if there’s something special you’re hoping to find, I’m always glad to keep it in mind.

Thank you for being here and taking the time to explore. I hope you find something you love — and maybe even something unexpected.
